I happened upon these bee boxes a few days ago. Winter – a time to rest and recharge for the next busy season. Bees understand this as well as many other animals, insects, and reptiles. Why is it so hard for humans to understand the concept of rest, rejuvenation, and restoration for self? In today’s society of instant everything served at the speed of light, it is important to find opportunities to halt the routine, reflect on the lived experience, and evaluate the next step. As the bee’s await the blooms of peach trees, tulips, and lilacs as they cling to their home, I am considering what the next season will bring for me.
