Time to enjoy a piece of toast coated in tupelo honey.
A blog about nature connecting to life on a daily basis. This connectivity might be intentional or random but it occurs if people create an interest in monitoring it within their life. Topics will include bees, flowers, fruits, vegetables, places, weather, and random topics that appeal to the writer.

Tupelo Honey - What a Treat
Honey has turned into a popular commodity. Locations that lived on maple syrup,
molasses, or cane sugar are including this offering in a variety of forms. I traveled to Savannah GA last week and went
into the Honey Store. Inside, I was
treated to a variety of flavors to enjoy with distinct differences. Some bold and thick while others subtle and
fragile. I had read about Tupelo Honey
and was excited to see it among the offerings.
Tupelo honey emerges in Spring along the Apalachicola and Ochlocknee rivers of the Florida panhandle when bees have access to the bud of tupelo trees. The flowering period is short and the
beekeeper must be on top of her game to collect this sweet nectar. If you would like to learn more, I suggest
this book: Robbing the Bees by Holley Bishop (2005).
