The Early Bee Catches . . .
It was a bright, sunny day in the southwest desert. Signs of life were popping up. California poppies, orange mallow, and bright blue lupines. As we stopped to enjoy the view, we started to here a buzz. As we looked around, we observed this small bee enjoying the early treats of spring. He was small but determined to have a fresh snack before he headed back to the bee hive.
I had to wonder if she lived in the hive from an earlier blog post or had I snapped her likeness before on a different flower. How many times had our lives intersected?
Watching this bee reminds me how busy we become in spring. The warmth of the sun and longer days encourage us to break from our indoor activities to enjoy other activities. We do become "as busy as a bee."
