In recent years, many people have given me beautiful orchid plants. At the time of being a gift, the plants have beautiful blooms and brighten the dullest day. But the first one I received did not fair so well after the blooms disappeared. I was determined to not let this happen again so I reviewed a few gardening books, watched the lightening and water, and made sure they had the proper food.
In December, my effort was rewarded with some buds appearing. In February, the first flower appeared to be followed by many more. Here are a few photos for you to enjoy!
(By the way, it's the 100 birthday for Oreo Cookies. I highly recommend the birthday version!)
