Wild Roses & Bees
Every weekend my partner and I head to the mountains to enjoy what naturally appears on this earth. As we descended a trail this weekend, I noticed an odor that was sweet and pleasant as well as the buzz of many bees. What were the bees and I smelling? The wild roses were in bloom! Colors ranged from a pale pink to a brighter pink with a solitary flower scattered along the branches as they climbed up the mountainside. I was delighted with the fragrance and the bees were elated with this wild, sweet bounty. “Hummmmm” could be heard for yards in both directions on the trail.
As I listened to this happy sound, I was reminded of how powerful an odor or smell can be for people as well as bees. What was the last pleasant memory you experienced based on a smell or aroma?
