The spring season has been warm across the U.S. Recently, I was walking near a lush oasis in the desert and came across these turtles enjoying the early spring weather. They were tossing around the sunblock and enjoying some Doritoes while listening to the NCAA Tournament on the radio. Okay so some of these activities are my imagination at its best (or worst depending on your perspective) but these happy retiles reminded me how special a warm, spring day can be for the living. Let's follow the lead the turtles and enjoy each day!
A blog about nature connecting to life on a daily basis. This connectivity might be intentional or random but it occurs if people create an interest in monitoring it within their life. Topics will include bees, flowers, fruits, vegetables, places, weather, and random topics that appeal to the writer.

Where's Summer?

Even though the calendar is reading May 30, 2011, I woke this morning to fresh snow. As you can tell from this photo, the summer visitors were not too happy about this weather situation either. But it does remind us that Mother Nature has her own ideas about the progression of spring to summer. The snow is a pretty mild occurence in comparison to the weather that other people and animals across the U.S. and the globe have experienced in 2011.
