The Desert in Spring - Blooms, Bees, and Butterflies

Bright yellow, variegated green, and cantaloupe are just some of the Crayola colors that desert produces this time of year.  On a hike a few weeks ago, I was amazed at all the warning signs that had been posted as the desert blooms.  Of course, my species is not the only one that wanders the desert this time of year.  Bees are inebriated with the zinnias, mallow, and sweet acacia blooms. Butterflies bounce from one treat to the next. Instead of fearing my winged friends, I found it peaceful to watch so much productivity.  Let me share some desert tranquility with you.
