Silence of Winter

 Winter has now hit most of the U.S.  It includes highways and small country roads that are covered with fresh powder and memories of previous seasons.

 In winter, this apple tree offers a sweet treat to deer as the apples descend to the ground.

 This plow waits for spring so it can come to life and create another summer bounty and fall harvest.

But until the then, birds will be content with a variety of seeds that emerge after a storm.
